Our family story

Built around safer homes.
Developed through craftsmanship.

Cotswold Stove’s story began with Gary’s father, who spent many years in the fire service. Having seen the risks chimney fires posed, he began sweeping chimneys on his days off, recognising the difference preventative care could make.

He introduced Gary to the trade, building on a career that had begun in carpentry. Gary brought his own interests in craftsmanship, materials and interior design, developing an approach that considers how a stove performs and how it belongs in the room.

That combination continues to shape Cotswold Stove today: a commitment to safer homes, beautifully chosen appliances and installations finished with care.

Practical knowledge, a love of materials and care for the homes we work in.

Materials, proportion and performance

A fireplace should feel part of your home.

We care about more than the appliance. The proportions of a surround, the texture of natural stone and the warmth of timber all shape how a fireplace feels in a room.

Whether your home is traditional or contemporary, we bring practical advice and an eye for interiors to the choice of appliance, hearth, surround and finish.

Industry knowledge

Appliance suitability, heat output, flue arrangements and installation requirements.

Materials in harmony

Stone, brick, timber and steel chosen to complement each other and your home.

An eye for interiors

Proportions and finishes that make the fireplace feel considered and complete.

Experience with an eye on what’s next

A passion for an industry that keeps evolving.

Gary continually explores new appliances, technologies and design possibilities. We keep abreast of changing regulations and installation requirements, helping customers understand their options and choose a solution that suits their home.
