New homes. Real possibilities.
A new home.
A real fireplace.
No chimney does not have to mean no stove. We create wood-burning stove installations, traditional fireplaces and bespoke media walls for new-build homes.

The chimney you do not have yet
A wood-burning stove without an existing chimney.
An insulated twin-wall flue creates a purpose-made chimney route. Depending on your home, it can run inside the building or externally, opening up possibilities for a real wood fire.
We assess your room, construction and proposed flue route together, then explain the practical requirements and how the installation will look.

A contemporary alternative
A real fire, without a chimney breast.
A freestanding stove can create a striking focal point without building a traditional fireplace. Here, a rectangular Chesneys stove sits on a stone hearth, with an insulated flue system providing the chimney route the property did not have.
We help you choose the appliance, hearth and flue route together, so the finished installation suits your room and your style.

Traditional character. A modern home.
A traditional fireplace in a new-build home.
You do not need an original chimney breast to create the look of a traditional fireplace. We can build a purpose-designed chimney breast and recess around a suitable stove and flue system.
Choose an oak beam or stone surround, a carefully proportioned hearth and a chamber finish that works with your interior. The result can feel like a natural part of the room.

From a plain wall to a proper fireplace.
No existing chimney breast? We can create one. This Cotswold Stove project shows how a blank wall became a welcoming focal point, with a purpose-built chimney breast, wood-burning stove, oak beam and hearth.

New-build fireplace FAQs
Your questions, answered.
Can I have a wood-burning stove without a chimney?
In many homes, yes. A suitable insulated twin-wall flue system can provide a new chimney route for a wood-burning stove. We assess the appliance position, flue route, construction and air supply before recommending an installation.
Can you create a traditional fireplace in a new-build home?
Yes, we can create a purpose-built chimney breast and fireplace opening, with a stove, hearth and surround selected for your room. The construction and flue arrangement must be designed around the appliance and property.
Will the insulated flue be visible?
That depends on the design. A route may be planned inside the property or externally, and some sections may be enclosed within suitable construction. We will explain the options and their visual impact during planning.
Can I have an electric media wall without a chimney?
Yes. An electric fire does not need a chimney or combustion flue. We can design a media wall around the chosen appliance, television, storage and finishes, allowing for the required electrical supply, ventilation and service access.
When should I involve you in my new build or self-build?
As early as possible, ideally while the layout and construction are being planned. Early discussion helps coordinate the stove position, flue route and fireplace construction with your architect or builder. If your home is already finished, a survey can establish what is possible.
